Kitchen suite care and maintenance guidelines

  1. The furniture is designed to function in dry ventilated premises at ambient temperature of 10 °C or higher and 50-70% relative air humidity.

  2. Please do not allow long water or steam contact with the furniture. If water splashes on the surfaces, wipe it with soft dry cloth. Water pools and large splashes may affect internal structure of chipboard and other materials loosening it; therefore, it is not recommended to put inside the kitchen modules wet items or utensils while water is still dripping or to allow extended furniture contact with steam. Storing damp utensils, plates and dishes in cupboards without prior drying or wiping may also cause permanent "damp" scent. To dry your plates and utensils, the suite includes a special drying cabinet with a water collection tray. To avoid excessive humidity, please wipe the tray dry as soon as the water stops dripping from the washed items.

  3. You can use soft cloth for wet cleaning of the furniture (e. g., flannel, smooth wool cloth, plush, calico) without solvents, acids, alkalis or abrasive cleansers.

  4. External surface of the table top and plastic-coated sides of the front panels can be cleaned with a wet cloth using standard furniture-friendly detergents (including solvents, acids and alkalis). No abrasive cleansers are allowed.

  5. Surfaces of lacquered and painted coatings should be protected from moisture, alkalis and solvents (alcohol, acetone, benzine, etc.) and also from mechanical damage (impact shock, scratches).

  6. Hot items may be placed on the tabletop; however, a trivet is recommended to extend the product life. Furniture and items contacting the table top (including the ones made of engineered stone) may not be hotter than 120 °C. Therefore, please keep in mind that hot items should never be placed directly from the built-in stove top or a burner of your gas/electric stove onto the artificial stone surface.

  7. No chemically active substances are allowed for cleaning of artificial stone surfaces (except for denaturated alcohol).

  8. Please be careful while storing chemically active substances (acids, oils, solvents, alcohol-containing liquids) and use proper storage precautions as the substances may be pose a risk for your health and also damage furniture parts on contact. Edible grade acids should be stored in closed reservoirs in order to prevent them from affecting the furniture.

  9. Maximum weight allowed inside a wall hanging cupboard is 20 kg. The maximum load per shelf of single-door tables is 20 kg, for double-door tables — 15 kg, for drawer bottom — 30 kg.

  10. Please avoid long exposure of your kitchen suite to direct sunlight. Such influence may alter the furniture colour.

  11. PVC-coated front panels and decorative elements may not be used in the proximity of heating devices, heating the front sides and decorations above 60 ºC is also prohibited.

  12. During operations with the cook top, pans and pots should not reach outside the cook top borders as they can damage the nearest parts of the suite and cook top details.

  13. To clean laminated chipboard surfaces, soft cloth and sponges soaked in clean warm water are recommended. Please wring them out before wiping the surface. Once wet cleaning is complete, wipe with paper tissue. If necessary, polish solutions for plastics may be used. Please do not use any hard objects (scrapers, sponges with plastic or metal fiber side) for cleaning.

  14. To remove light contamination from decorative laminated surfaces (plastics), paper towels and various sponges are recommended. Once wet cleaning is complete, wipe the surface with paper tissue to remove leftover moisture. If contamination is time-solidified, organic solvents, liquid and creamy detergents may be used. If necessary, apply to the dirty surface and leave overnight. Wax or paraffin traces should be removed mechanically. Please do not use any hard objects (scrapers, sponges with plastic or metal fiber side) for cleaning.

  15. Please keep in mind that any wooden surface of kitchen furniture may change its appearance as time passes depending not only upon climate, environment and exposure to light but also upon specifics of care and maintenance by the owner. For cleaning, you are advised to use wet soft tissue or suede without excessive moisture; using specifically designed cleaning solutions often containing polishing components is also advisable. Be sure to always dry (wipe with dry cloth) damp parts upon cleaning completion. You can also clean such kitchen furniture with a vacuum cleaner equipped with a soft brush nozzle. Using hard objects (scrapers, sponges with plastic or metal fiber side) for cleaning is expressly prohibited at all times.

  16. Please be advised that engineered stone is a "live" material and its surface has a certain level of absorbability (tendency to absorb liquids) due to the natural components in its structure. Therefore, insufficient care and maintenance may result in indelible blots and stains (if liquid is left on such surface for a long while). For degreasing, you are advised to use denaturated alcohol solution; cleaning with wet soft cloth or suede is also possible. Be sure to always dry carefully damp parts upon cleaning completion.

  17. While cleaning metal surfaces (including lacquered parts) be sure to use no solutions containing abrasive or corrosive components or sponges with metal fiber or flake sides. After cleaning, eye-catching gloss of the surface can be refreshed using soft dry cloth for polishing in repetitive to-and-fro motions.

  18. First of all, please keep in mind that glass surfaces are fragile and therefore they can shatter on impact. Do not allow heavy hard objects to scratch the surfaces or hit them. Perform cleaning with special solutions for glass and ceramics respectively. While cleaning, be sure to use no products containing abrasive or corrosive components or sponges with metal fiber or flake sides.

  19. To use and maintain properly electric appliances and utensils included with the suite, please read and follow the guidelines of the corresponding operation manuals provided by their manufacturers.

  20. Quartz is heat-resistant material, which can withstand heating up to 150 degrees C provided the entire stone surface is heated evenly. Quick heating of just a portion of surface may cause it to crack. Leaving hot items to heat just a portion of quartz surface is forbidden. Hot kitchen utensils should be placed on trivets. Please protect quartz parts from open fire. Light contamination can be removed with wet cloth using any standard dish washing or glass detergent. Plastic scrapers may be used. In case of serious contamination wipe the spot with acetone, alcohol, nail varnish remover or any other organic solvent. If contamination persists, use a mild (up to 3%) acid solution (vinegar, citric acid, household cleaning solutions containing acids). The stain should not be rubbed, placing a cloth soaked in the solution on it is sufficient. Apply mild acid solution for half-hour periods with breaks in-between, every time wiping the spot dry and checking whether any trace is left. Continue until the stain is gone. Application of acid solution should not last longer than 3 hours in total. No abrasive-containing powder or liquid cleansers or detergents are allowed (e.g., Comet, Pemolux, etc.) as well as solutions with high alkaline content, active chlorine or ammonia (such as Domestos, Krot, Duck, etc.). Prohibited substances include detergents for ovens or grill, dishwashers and other products with high alkaline content.

  21. Marble and granite are "live" materials, which demonstrate notably high absorbability (tendency to absorb liquids) on such surfaces. Therefore, permanent blots and stains are a real risk for them. To degrease marble or granite surfaces, a water solution of denaturated alcohol is recommended. Apply on these surfaces special water-resistant products for marble and granite protection from time to time. Once such product is applied and before using the surface, wipe it with soft dry cloth. Be sure to always dry carefully damp parts upon cleaning completion.
